B. ED Programme Introduction

Duration

This is a two years Full-time course. Every year the program generally starts from the second week of July. The exact date is announced by the University of Mumbai and is decided upon the enrolment rounds after the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (CET). As per the new semester credit based grading system, the program is divided into four semesters.

Eligibility

Graduate of any faculty of a recognized University or its equivalent and have a minimum of 50% marks for General Category and 45% for the Reserved Category. Note: There is no Direct Admission to the course without CET. No management seat. No paid seat.

Curriculum

The Rehabilitation Council of India is accountable for the development of curricula in special education. The curriculum of B Ed (HI) and B Ed (LD) are developed by the RCI and have been adapted by Mumbai University into credit based grading semester system. Visit Mumbai University for more information.

ALUMNI AND PLACEMENTS

HACSE is blessed with a very tiny yet active alumni unit. As a response to NAAC appeal the college has decided to go for a registered Alumni association. The college is in the process currently. Alumni are requested to contact college immediately for membership. Alumni are also encouraged to take up the responsibility of becoming office bearers of the association. The constitution of the association will soon be the website.

Placement services: HACSE has an informal but active placement activities. Students and organizations with vacancies are brought on one platform by sharing the information mutually. Post employment support is provided to the employers and the alumni.
