One of the most popular activities of CCYM, the reading room provides congenial atmosphere to students to pursue their studies seriously. Students of Arts, Commerce, Science, Medicine, and Law faculties from different colleges in and around Chembur are availing the benefit of this facility. Some Research Scholars are also making use of our Reading Room.

The room has been kept open for people from all walks of life. Admissions are given on a first-come-first-serve basis. The concept has been successful in promoting group feeling and providing a homely atmosphere for studies.

Admissions

Admission to the Reading Room takes place in two terms i.e. (1) from January to June (2) from July to December every year. The student who seeks the admission has to pay a nominal fee of Rs. 300/- for a term of Six Months. Admission is open to all those who have passed their HSC Examination. We admit neatly 150 students in a term. But, sometimes this number goes upto 200. The demand for the Reading Room is very high at present.

Timings

The Reading Room opens at 07:00 A.M in the morning and closes only at 11:00 P.M. The Reading Room remains open throughout the year. There is NO HOLIDAY for this activity.
