Course Details

Duration


It is a one-year full-time course. The College generally starts from the second week of June every year. The admission dates will be announced by the University of Mumbai.

Eligibility


Graduate of any faculty of a recognized University or its equivalent and have a minimum of 45% marks for General Category and 40% for Reserved Category.

Admission


Govt. of Maharashtra holds an Entrance Examination in the month of April every year for this purpose. After getting qualified in the examination, the candidate can opt for his / her desired college as per the merit list.

Note: There is no Direct Admission to the course.

Fees


Total fees of Rs. 13,370 (2006-07) to be paid at the time of admission. Scholarships can be availed by SC / ST / DT-NT / OBC candidates by producing necessary certificates.

Medium of Instruction


Lectures are held in English but candidates have the option of writing the papers in English / Marathi / Hindi.

Curriculum


The course consists of 7 theory papers and the practicals as follows.

(Part-B) Practicals : Assessment of the "Part B" by the Institution on the above areas: Out of 500 Marks.

'Part-B' consists of : Classroom Observations, Lesson Planning and Execution, Micro-Teaching and Simulated teaching, Individualized Educational Programme, Language Skills, Ear Mould Making, Repairs of Hearing Aid, Audiology, Speech Teaching and Psycho Educational Evaluation.

To pass the examination a candidate must obtain in Part 'A' and Part 'B' (separately) 40% of the total Marks (Internal + External) in each paper and 45% of the aggregate Marks.
